General Size Guide

🟪 Most adult domestic shorthair cats suit either a Small or Medium FeliFeed® collar, depending on their build.

🟨 Medium and Large collars have a slightly deeper profile, making them suitable for cats with longer necks or a larger frame

🟧 Miniature and small dog breeds, as well as dogs with a low-set neck, are more suited to the FeliFeed® collar range. These collars offer a shallower, more comfortable fit while still providing effective support.

⬜ The XL and XXL CaniFeed® collars are designed for medium‑ to large‑sized dogs and provide a deeper profile for longer necks.

👉 Check the size table below to find the best fit. Always measure your pet’s neck before purchasing.

Every FeliFeed® and CaniFeed® collar includes an adjustable Velcro® tab fastener, allowing you to fine‑tune the fit. Because of this adjustability, some pets may fit more than one size.

If you’re unsure which size to choose, you’re welcome to send your pet’s neck circumference and neck length, and we’ll help you select the most suitable option.

How to Measure Your Pet’s Neck Circumference

  • Choose a calm moment — ideally when your pet is relaxed or resting.

  • Use a soft tape measure and wrap it gently around the base of the neck, where a collar would usually sit. Measure close to the skin, not over bulky fur.

  • Check the fit by slipping two fingers between the tape and your pet’s neck.

  • Note the measurement in centimetres, rounding up if your pet is between sizes.

  • Repeat once more to confirm accuracy.

How to Measure Your Pet's Neck Length

Use a soft tape measure to find the distance from the base of the skull (just behind the ears) down to the top of the shoulders. This gives you the vertical length of the neck — helpful when choosing between collar sizes with different depths.

Important Considerations

  • Use a soft tape measure for accuracy, or wrap a piece of string around the area and then measure the string against a rigid ruler.

  • Check the fit regularly, especially if your pet is growing or their weight changes.

Visual Guide - choosing the right size for your cat

Every cat is unique, but this visual guide offers a helpful starting point.

We’ve grouped familiar cat breeds by typical adult size to help you estimate which FeliFeed Collar might suit your cat. These categories are based on average adult neck sizes and weights, so they’re only a general reference. For the most accurate fit, please follow the measurement advice above and measure your own cat.

Kittens usually suit the X‑Petite or Petite sizes. Most domestic shorthairs will fit either the Small or Medium collar, depending on their build. If your cat has a longer neck, consider the Medium size — the Velcro fastener allows the collar to be adjusted for a comfortable, secure fit.
