Aspiring to a slower, more thoughtful way of life

Mabel Green Studio began with a simple idea: that reuse and comfort can go hand in hand. I’ve been sewing since I was very young, and over time, that creative instinct grew into a passion for thoughtful design and ethical craftsmanship.

After many years working in customer service, I learned how much care and clarity matter — not just in how we treat others, but in how we create things. That’s why every product I make is slow-made, practical, and rooted in kindness.

Whether it’s a washbag stitched from repurposed fabric or a FeliFeed Support Collar® designed to support a recovering pet, I believe small details make a big difference. My studio is a place where comfort meets purpose — and where every stitch tells a story.

Hello

I’m Louise — founder of Mabel Green Studio.

I create reworked and handmade lifestyle pieces from my home studio in Manchester, working with locally sourced and repurposed textiles. Products are slow‑made with care, designed to be worn and used for their character, quality and everyday practicality.

Below is my vintage Bernina 1130 — a machine built for precision. It produces consistently clean, accurate stitching across everything from crisp cottons to softer, finer fabrics, and it’s become an essential part of my studio practice.
