About Mabel Green Studio

 

Mabel Green Studio is a small independent brand based in South Manchester, UK, creating handmade lifestyle pieces with a focus on sustainability, comfort, and thoughtful design. Every item is crafted with care, using repurposed and locally sourced textiles wherever possible.

1. Where are your products made?
All products are created and packaged in our home studio in Manchester. We work in small batches to ensure quality and attention to detail in every piece.

2. What materials do you use?
We use a mix of repurposed fabrics, locally sourced textiles, and carefully selected trims. Each material is chosen for its durability, comfort, and visual appeal — with a strong emphasis on reducing waste and celebrating texture.

3. Do you use AI images on your website?
Yes — many of our listings include AI‑generated model images to help show how a garment or accessory might look when worn. This allows us to keep the business sustainable, affordable, and focused on the making itself.


All garments, accessories, and products are completely real and handmade here at the Mabel Green Studio in Manchester. AI is used only for the model visuals.

4. Are your products sustainable?
We do our very best to ensure that Mabel Green Studio products are made with care for the planet. We use fabric remnants and repurposed materials wherever possible, keeping waste to a minimum and choosing finishes that are practical but gentle.

That said, no product — handmade or otherwise — is entirely impact‑free. We use tools like a sewing machine and an overlocker, and some fabrics have practical finishes for added durability. Even so, we make conscious choices at every step to keep the footprint as low as possible.

5. Do you offer custom or personalised orders?
Whilst we don't offer full custom orders, we’re happy to make one of our existing designs in a different colourway or pattern, depending on what we have available in the studio.

For FeliFeed® Support Collars, we can accommodate custom requests — for example, if a custom size or a bulk order is required. Please feel free to contact us to discuss options.

6. Our vintage items
From time to time, we curate vintage accessories and studio finds that sit beautifully alongside our handmade range and celebrate enduring craftsmanship.

 

Each piece is selected with care and chosen for its charm, quality, and timeless practicality. By giving previously loved items a new life, we support a slower, more sustainable approach to style — one that values character, longevity, and thoughtful reuse.

7. How do I care for my handmade item?
Most products come with care instructions noted on the listing. Oilcloth can be wiped clean, but it is not stain‑proof. Other fabrics can be gently machine‑washed at low temperatures and air‑dried flat. Harsh detergents should be avoided. Visit our Fabric Care Guide. If you're unsure, feel free to ask — we’re always happy to advise.

FeliFeed & CaniFeed Support Collars®

8. What is a FeliFeed® Support Collar?
FeliFeed® Support Collars are clinically informed, soft‑padded collars for cats and small dog breeds with an oesophagostomy feeding tube (O‑tube). They keep the tube secure and comfortable, reducing the need for complex dressings and helping pets move freely during recovery — making life less stressful for them and their carers.


Each collar is handcrafted in the Mabel Green Studio and includes an information leaflet with an illustrated guide to fitting the collar. It can be worn during chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and other veterinary procedures.

9. What is a CaniFeed® Support Collar?
CaniFeed® Support Collars are designed specifically for medium and large dog breeds with an oesophagostomy feeding tube. They feature a deeper profile, a wider buttonhole for larger tube caps, dual Velcro® fastenings for longer feeding tubes, and a stabilising keeper to prevent lifting at smaller settings.


These collars provide secure tube support while allowing dogs to move comfortably during recovery.


CaniFeed® collars are also handcrafted in the Mabel Green Studio and include a full fitting guide. Both standard and waterproof options are available.

 

The collars are registered with the UK Intellectual Property Office (No. 6482159 & 6514630), and the FeliFeed® and CaliFeed® names and logos are protected trademarks. Unauthorised use or reproduction is not permitted.

Because Davies recommends changing the bandages twice a day, a CaniFeed® Support Collar can make daily care more manageable by keeping the tube secure and stable between changes.

🚚📮 Shipping & Delivery

11. Where do you ship to?
At this time, we ship within the United Kingdom only, including the Channel Islands (Jersey, Guernsey, and Alderney). This ensures we comply with international product regulations for our FeliFeed Support Collars, maintaining the highest standards of safety and care.

Shipping to the Channel Islands:
Royal Mail domestic services are used, and delivery is generally the same as for mainland UK destinations. Please refer to our Delivery page for full details, including customs requirements and service notes.

12. How much does shipping cost?
A fixed postage and packing fee is charged based on the delivery option you choose at checkout. Free UK shipping is automatically applied to orders of £100 or more. Please note: this offer excludes the Special Delivery guaranteed options.

13. How long will my order take to arrive?
Orders are usually dispatched within 1 working day (Monday to Friday). For larger or custom orders — such as bulk collar requests — please allow a little extra time while we prepare your items with care. We’ll always keep you informed if there’s a delay.

14. Do you offer tracked delivery?
Yes — we use Royal Mail as our primary postal service provider, with tracking included for all orders. At checkout, if you provide your email address or mobile number, Royal Mail tracking updates can usually be sent directly to you. Visit the Delivery page for details.

Packaging & Presentation

15. How are your items packaged?
Each order is carefully packed in our Manchester studio using eco‑conscious materials wherever possible. We use recyclable or compostable packaging to help reduce waste, and we take care to ensure your items arrive safely and in excellent condition.

16. Do you use plastic‑free or recyclable materials?
Yes — we prioritise plastic‑free, recyclable, and compostable packaging. Our materials are sourced locally where possible, including glassine bags, paper tape, and eco‑friendly wrapping. We choose options that are gentle on the planet and practical for everyday use.

17. What will my parcel include?
In addition to your product, we include a short studio note with details about the item (excluding orders for FeliFeed® and CaniFeed® collars). We can also add a short personal message for the recipient. Just add your special message at checkout.

18. Can I add gift wrapping to my order?
Yes — gift wrapping is available at £5.00 per order. We use vegan-friendly wrapping paper with a vegetable-based ink print. Simply add 'Gift Wrap' from the main menu to your order. You can also include a short personal message for the gift tag at checkout.


👉Please note that gift wrap must be selected at the time of ordering, as it can’t be added afterwards. The fee is applied during checkout.

💬 Orders & Support

19. How can I contact you about my order?
You can reach us by email at hello@mabelgreenstudio.co.uk. We aim to respond within 1 working day. If your query relates to an existing order, please include your order number to expedite the process.

20. What happens if I need to change or cancel my order?
If you need to make a change or cancel your order, please email us as soon as possible, quoting your order number. We’ll do our best to help, but once an item has been dispatched, changes may not be possible.

🔁 Returns & Legal Info

21. What if my item arrives damaged or doesn’t match my expectations?
If something’s not quite right, please don't hesitate to get in touch — we want you to be delighted with your purchase. Email hello@mabelgreenstudio.co.uk with your order number and a brief description of the issue, along with clear photographs if relevant, and we’ll do our best to resolve it quickly and fairly.

22. Do you offer returns or exchanges?

Visit our Returns page for full details. As a small studio, we don’t offer general exchanges for Mabel Green products. FeliFeed® and CaniFeed® collars are made to a very high standard, and faults are extremely rare — but if your item arrives damaged or faulty, we’ll make it right in line with your rights under UK consumer law.

Please note: we’re unable to offer refunds or exchanges if the wrong size has been ordered and the collar has been opened. However, if the sealed packet remains intact and the size label on the front reveals a mismatch, we’ll gladly exchange it for the correct size once the original collar has been safely returned. Postage costs for the exchange will need to be covered by the customer.

To avoid disappointment, please check your cat’s neck size and weight before placing your order. Sizing guidance is provided in the product description and in the information guide available on this website.

🏛️💳 23. What happens if I’ve changed my bank or card since placing my order?
Refunds are issued to the original payment method used at checkout — this includes card payments, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal. If your card has expired or you’ve switched banks, your bank will automatically redirect the funds to your new account. This process is in line with UK payment regulations and anti‑money‑laundering guidance.

Mabel Green Studio does not have access to any customer bank details or payment account information. If you're unsure about receiving your refund, please contact your bank directly.

24. Are your designs protected by copyright or trademark?
Yes — FeliFeed® and CaniFeed® Support Collars are protected under UK Registered Design numbers 6482159 and 6514630, and the FeliFeed® and CaniFeed® names are registered trademarks. These protections cover the collar’s structure, branding, and visual identity.

25. Is my personal information safe?
