A rework service for shirts with meaning — reshaped into feminine, wearable silhouettes that honour the story of the original garment.
Prices start at £20 for a straightforward cropped, boxy hemline, up to £100 for more detailed and complex transformations. The final cost will be confirmed by a personalised email quotation.
How it works
1. Download the Loved Shirt Rework Form
The form can be downloaded at any time from our FAQs page (item 5). It includes measurement notes, permissions, and a visual guide to some of our transformations. You’re welcome to choose a single style or a mixture of them — and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request based on the size and structure of the shirt you’d like us to work on. Many customers prefer to browse the PDF before deciding; there’s absolutely no obligation to proceed.
2. Send your form and photos
Complete the form, or email all the requested information to hello@mabelgreenstudio.co.uk, along with clear front and back photos of your shirt. We can provide a quote from photos alone — there’s no need to post your shirt at this stage. We may need to contact you to discuss style options, and will reach out by email, text message or phone call, depending on your preferred method of communication.
3. Receive your quote
We’ll assess your chosen style and the structure of your shirt and send you a personalised quote which is valid for 30 calendar days.
4. Complete checkout
Once you have confirmed that you wish to proceed, we’ll send you an email with a link to the product so you can complete checkout.
5. Post your shirt
Once checkout is completed, you can post your shirt to Mabel Green Studio.
6. Transformation & dispatch
Your shirt will be slow‑made into its new silhouette, following the measurements and style you’ve chosen.
Most reworks are completed within a couple of days of the shirt arriving at the studio, though timing may vary depending on our schedule and the complexity of the transformation. You’ll be kept informed throughout via email.
Once completed, your shirt will be dispatched free of charge via Royal Mail Tracked 24.
Suitable fabrics
We work best with woven cotton and poly‑cotton blends: crisp poplins, soft Oxfords, brushed flannels, gingham, stripes and classic men’s dress‑shirt fabrics. These woven structures allow the blouse to hold its new silhouette beautifully.
Not suitable
Knits, jersey, hoodies, polo shirts, silk, viscose, thick denim or heavy workwear.
