    The Kantha fabric used for this product comes from vintage, hand‑stitched quilts made from layers of recycled cotton. Using this material gives existing textiles a second life and reduces the demand for newly produced fabric.


    Hand‑Stitched by Artisans

    Each quilt is created using traditional running‑stitch embroidery, sewn entirely by hand. This slow, craft‑led process supports artisan communities in India and helps preserve a long‑standing textile tradition.

    Because Kantha quilts are made from assorted vintage fabrics, every panel is different. Colours, patterns, and stitch details vary naturally, meaning each item is cut from one‑of‑a‑kind material.


    Care

    The Kantha fabric has been pre‑washed, so further washing isn’t required unless necessary. If you do need to wash it, use a colour‑catcher sheet and wash with similar colours.


    This vintage textile may show small imperfections or irregular stitching — these are part of the character and history of Kantha quilts and are not considered faults.


    Low-impact, gentle care helps extend the life of the fabric:
