The FeliFeed® Story
Inspired by care. Designed for comfort.
FeliFeed® began with a simple idea: to create something gentle, practical, and comforting for cats recovering from feeding tube procedures.
This page shares the story behind that idea — how a moment of grief became a quiet motivation, and how collaboration with Manchester Cat Clinic helped shape every detail of the design.

Designing for Dignity and Ease
The FeliFeed® Support Collar is designed to hold a feeding tube in place following surgery or during recovery. Soft, lightweight, and adjustable, the FeliFeed® collar helps reduce the need for daily vet visits and complex dressing changes, making home care more manageable for carers and more soothing for cats.
Every element is crafted to support dignity, ease, and recovery — with feline well-being always at the heart.
FeliFeed® was developed with insight and support from Manchester Cat Clinic — a multi-award-winning, feline-only veterinary practice known for its thoughtful care and ethical leadership.
Their team provided expert guidance on the practical needs of cats recovering from oesophagostomy tube procedures, helping shape the collar’s design. From comfort and fit to ease of use, their feedback ensured the final product was not only gentle and well-tolerated but truly supportive for both cats and carers.
“We are really happy with our FeliFeed Support Collars — they're beautifully made and purr-fect for our patients. They are soft, well-tolerated, and exactly the right design to keep cats as comfortable as possible while they have an oesophagostomy tube. We also love that they are locally made by a small business with upcycled materials.”

Additional Comfort and Clinical Use
FeliFeed® collars can remain in place during chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and other veterinary procedures, offering gentle support without interfering with treatment.
Even when a collar isn’t medically required, many cats — especially those prone to stress — find comfort in the soft, secure fit; it's like wearing a neck cushion! Because the neck is such a sensitive, vulnerable area, the padded design can help anxious cats feel more grounded, particularly in busy households with children, other pets, or unfamiliar visitors.

🐾 IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTE: While a cat must always remain indoors while a feeding tube is fitted, collars may be worn outside or in other situations — for example, to support anxious cats during periods of stress. However, as the collar is secured with a Velcro closure and lacks an automatic breakaway release mechanism, supervised outdoor access must be provided at all times.
Suki’s Legacy
A Cat Like No Other
Suki was a gentle, loving boy with a deep appreciation for comfort; he elevated relaxation to an art form. We often called him The Snowman or Sir Fluffle — fitting names for a cat who loved to sleep on his back, fluffy tummy proudly on display.
Finding Purpose Through Loss
After losing our beloved Suki at 18, a chance meeting with Manchester Cat Clinic offered a new direction — and a renewed sense of purpose. Helping other poorly cats and their carers through thoughtful design became a way to honour his memory. His presence lives on in the collar — shaped not just by practical requirements, but by a deep respect for feline comfort and emotional well-being.
Our own cats, Chester and Mouse (see Fluff Squad photos below), are registered with Manchester Cat Clinic — a team we trust for expert feline care. Visit their website.
