The dress is unlined, as was typical for the period, allowing the fabric to move softly and naturally.

The bodice is richly embellished with intricate hand‑applied beadwork arranged in striking, symmetrical motifs, with tiny scattered beads continuing across the upper front and cuffs. The long sleeves are finished with a small vent at the cuff for comfort and ease of movement - fastened with a small press stud.
